Privacy Policy

1. Service scope

AngryFriday Publisher is an owner-operated utility that runs locally on the owner’s Mac. It uploads and manages videos on a YouTube channel that the owner explicitly authorizes. This public website is informational only: it has no user accounts, upload controls, advertising, analytics, or tracking pixels.

2. Google and YouTube data accessed

The local application requests OAuth access for these limited purposes:

• Channel identity: read the selected channel’s ID, name, and public channel details so a publishing job targets the correct channel.
• Video publishing: upload a video and set its title, description, tags, category, language, audience designation, synthetic-media disclosure, visibility, and schedule.
• Video management: check processing status and update a video’s publication state.
• Attachments: add a thumbnail, subtitle or caption track, and a requested playlist association.

The service does not request or collect Google passwords, email content, contacts, location, payment data, search history, or YouTube viewing history.

3. Data provided directly

The owner supplies local video paths, media files, titles, descriptions, tags, captions, thumbnail files, playlist choices, scheduling instructions, and required compliance fields. These inputs are used only to perform the requested YouTube publishing job.

4. How data is used

Google user data is used only to authenticate the selected channel, perform the owner’s requested upload or management operation, report progress, prevent duplicate publishing, and safely retry interrupted work. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or training generalized machine-learning models.

5. Storage, security, and retention

• OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in the local macOS Keychain and are not stored in this website, its source code, or the local job database.
• Channel metadata, job state, file hashes, upload-session state, YouTube video IDs, and attachment results are stored in a local SQLite database to support reliability and idempotency.
• Selected media remains on the owner’s device until it is transmitted directly to Google’s YouTube API at the owner’s request.
• Local records are kept only while needed for operation, troubleshooting, or duplicate prevention, and can be deleted by the owner at any time.

The website operator does not run analytics or build visitor profiles. Hosting and network providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser headers, and timestamps as needed to deliver and protect the public pages.

6. Sharing and disclosure

Data is transmitted to Google only as necessary to call YouTube API Services. It is not sold, rented, or shared with data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties. Data may be disclosed only when required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of the service.

7. Google API Limited Use

AngryFriday Publisher’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The service also follows the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies.

8. Your control, revocation, and deletion

The channel owner can stop access or delete locally stored data at any time:

1. Revoke AngryFriday Publisher under the Google Account page for third-party connections.
2. Remove the application’s OAuth token from the local macOS Keychain.
3. Delete the local AngryFriday Publisher application-support directory to remove channel and job records.
4. Contact privacy@angryfriday.com for help with access, correction, or deletion. Verified requests will be handled within 30 days.

Revoking access prevents future API calls but does not delete videos already published to YouTube. Those videos remain under the channel owner’s control in YouTube Studio.

9. Children

The service is not directed to children and is not offered for public account creation. It is operated solely by an adult channel owner.

10. Policy changes and contact
